I write in a room with green striped wallpaper. I have a basket full of plastic fruit and vegetables. The walls here are decorated with a painting of a cloud and a painting of a mushroom, both made by people of great meaning to me. I also have a felt rainbow on the wall, and an electric candle in the window. I have a bed, in name the guest bed, but also for me to have flying dreams in. I have books, of course. I have two dressers, and one is full of yarn, and the other one is full of fabric. My computer lives on the floor with its cord tangled around it when not in use and on my lap while I sit on the bed otherwise, although there is a desk. The desk is covered with objects of interest to me, such as my camera, an electric fountain, and an orange stone Buddha. There are many places in this room for cats to curl up and sleep. I leave my socks on the floor.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, I’m an MFA student at Goddard College. I get to go to Puget Sound for a week every semester, and to bask in my own space the rest of the time.

I’m looking forward to seeing you in February. My writing has been so sporadic these past months – I’m ready for the structure of deadlines again. Let me know if you want a ride from the airport, since I’m in town.
Love your photos on this blog!
